This amazing antique Christening gown is silk with lace insets.  Rows of tucks, hand embroidery and lace embellish this gown.  The silk is a soft ecru in color and the lace is white.  Under the bodice, there are 2 rows of smocking.  The bottom edge has scalloped lace.  There is a tie at the back of the neck and one tiny mother of pearl button.  The button hole is hand stitched.  This antique gown is in perfect condition.  The silk is stable, it is not weak.  No discoloration or spots.  This gown is a lovely antique garment.  Shoulder to waist....37 inches.  Bottom edge of skirt...70 inches.  Bodice is 18 inches.  Sleeve is 7 inches.  $575.
